Chandrika Tandon and Kenny Werner come to American Spring for the European premiere of their new project Unbounded, a luscious combination of the richness of Indian classical music and jazz. Chandrika, a Grammy-nominated artist, writes music that draws on ancient Sanskrit mantras, English prayers, western modes, ragas, and jazz. As well as an artist, she is a philanthropist and humanitarian and a recognised leader in the arts, with roles on the board of Lincoln Center and the President’s Council of Berklee College of Music. 

Kenny Werner, the world-renowned pianist and composer, has worked with jazz legends like Dizzy Gillespie, Stan Getz, Charles Mingus, and Jack DeJohnette over a storied career that has seen him rack up awards and Grammy nominations. His 1996 book Effortless Mastery: Liberating the Master Musician Within, led him to teach and lecture students around the world, and he became artistic director of the Effortless Mastery Institute at Berklee College of Music in 2014.
